Lloyd Estates is a special place for me because it was where I started my journey in BCPS as a Kindergarten Student. It is also a place where children in Oakland Park can go to be educated, but also nurtured under the amazing leadership of Principal Allen who is a staunch advocate for her school. Please provide for their safety by ensure that critical items such as the fire alarms are installed appropriately and swiftly. I am not sure how an oversight such as this was made given that BCPS design criteria are known. Designers, engineers, contractors etc. should be held responsible for these errors and omissions. When you look at the O&E for this project at 1.35% and other projects utilizing the same contractors, these O&Es are astronomical and costly to our district and the companies making these mistakes should be held accountable. Nevertheless, this project needs to be completed so please vote in favor of this change.
