I’m pleased to congratulate Ms. Lori Alhadeff, Ms. Debbie Hixon and Dr. Jeff Holness on being re-elected by the public to serve on the Broward County School Board. It is with great anticipation that I also congratulate our two new Board Members, Ms. Maura Bulman and Ms. Rebecca Thompson. You have all stepped up to a job that’s very important to all citizens in Broward County. Public Schools are the glue that holds the community together.
My hope is that this new Board will be able to debate vigorously and then stand behind the very difficult decisions you have to make for the future of Broward County.
On another note, I’m hoping that the new Board will make sure the written comments are again collated and provided to the public in a format as they were in 2023. For some reason the written comments are no longer available for the public to see on the website.
I have fought long and hard for public comments and believe the written comments are as valuable as the comments of those who can speak in person.
