Dear Broward School Board,
I'm not sure what exactly I'm voting on but I believe I may be the original person who brought up the issue originally at Park Trails Elementary regarding only having 5 question tests in my daughters gifted science class with Mrs. Rapps.
I support having 10 to 15 questions on science tests given throughout the year to provide a reasonable margin for error instead of 5 questions only which cause the students to receive an 80% scored by missing only one question and a 60% score by only missing two questions.
The math tests given in the same gifted classes number 10-15 so I'm only asking that science tests be the equivalent number of questions to prevent normally straight "A" students like my daughter from failing science, her favorite subject.
Please change my vote to oppose or support accordingly.
Thank you for taking this issue up!
