My name is Dr. Trudy Jermanovich.

    Regarding in Policy 6010 to 6030 -
Please be aware that you would specifically leave out many volunteers who work with certain schools over decades.
    B. Under Membership # 1. The way it is written for new policy leaves out people who are not general citizens who reside in the County.
What is being proposed does not reflect what is in State Statute which specifically calls for “community citizens who are representative of the ethnic, racial, and economic community served by the school.”

Here’s what I copied from the proposal.
“The membership of the School Advisory Forum (SAF) shall be representative of the district school~ community to include parents or guardians of district school students enrolled at the school, students at the district school, business partners of the district school, and community members organizations_and business People partners serving the district school. Participation from all ethnic, religious, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds is welcomed and encouraged.”

From state statute on SAC - SAF committees
“A majority of the members of each school advisory council must be persons who are not employed by the school district. Each advisory council shall be composed of the principal and an appropriately balanced number of teachers, education support employees, students, parents, and other business and community citizens who are representative of the ethnic, racial, and economic community served by the school.”
