Why is everyone saying these budget cuts will not directly impact teachers in the classroom but Tropical Elementary is losing a teacher position for their deaf and hard of hearing program for next year? We are going from the three teachers we had to only being funded for 2 positions though we will have the same exact amount of students in the program, so this also has nothing to do with enrollment. We were informed of this at SAC/SAF this morning of this reduction in our number of teachers, the way our program is now we have 3 teachers K-1, 2-3, and 4-5 but due to this change we will only have 2 teachers and the classes will be K-2 and 3-5 which is absolutely a disservice to our children with these special DHH needs!
